Beyond their shores, Ireland and Belgium shares a mutual respect and a history where places like the abbeys of Glenstal and Kylemore or the battle of Ypres resonate in the memories of our ancestors. Today, our relations are sketched in less epic words but are very real for the prosperity of our two peoples: they are called trade, education and new technologies. Belgium and Ireland stand also united in the endeavour of defending the multilateral order and completing the architecture of our ever closer European Union, for the sake of peace and solidarity among nations. It is no coincidence that Belgium and Ireland are inspired by the same motto: “Ní neart go cur le chéile”. Union makes strength.
Whether you are a Belgian or an Irish citizen, a tourist, a student or a resident in Ireland in need of consular services, an entrepreneur, a scholar or an artist interested to develop trade or ties between Belgium and Ireland, the Embassy of Belgium in Dublin stands ready to support or collaborate with you.
